What StatementDock creates
Two files that Tally Prime imports: a ledgers file and a vouchers file.
The ledgers file creates your bank ledger under Bank Accounts and any new ledgers you chose, so the vouchers have somewhere to post. You choose the group for each new ledger.
How entries become vouchers
Money out becomes a Payment voucher and money in becomes a Receipt voucher, each against your bank ledger.
Cash withdrawals and cash deposits become Contra vouchers against Cash.
Rows with no matching ledger
StatementDock suggests a ledger from each narration it can match. Rows with no match go to an unsure ledger, which is a Suspense account, and you can fix them in StatementDock or later in Tally.
Opening balance
You can set the opening balance on the bank ledger from the statement. Leave it off if the ledger already carries one in Tally.
