According to ICICI Bank’s help FAQ, the e-statement password is the first four letters of the account name plus the date and month of birth (DDMM), all in lowercase. For example: suji0501.
The ICICI e-statement password format
- First four letters of the name on the account, in lowercase, with no spaces or salutations (no “Mr”, “Ms”).
- Then the date and month of birth as DDMM.
- Example: Sujit Sawant, born 5 January →
suji0501. - Current accounts use the date of incorporation. ABC Enterprises, incorporated 5 January →
abce0501. - Joint accounts use the first account holder’s name and date of birth.
ICICI’s FAQ also describes a variant where the password is your 12-digit account number, with its last two digits shown in the email subject. If the name-and-date format fails, check the subject line.
How to download your ICICI statement
- Net banking: Bank Accounts → e-Statements → View Detailed Statement, then choose the dates and download. ICICI shows up to the last 4 years.
- iMobile: use Detailed Statement and enter the period. You can also have it emailed from there.
- Monthly email statements: register for e-statements on your email.
- WhatsApp banking (+91 86400 86400) shows mini statements only.
If the password doesn’t work
- Make sure every letter is lowercase.
- Use the name exactly as it appears on the account, without a title.
- Check that it’s an account statement, not a credit card statement (different format).
